Home > Toys by Disability > Fine Motor Skills > Askew Suspension Game
Using 24 notched metal rods in 6 colors, players create a suspended structure by taking turns hanging the indented rods from the base's hook. Each piece that's added completely changes the center of gravity of the structure, causing the entire structure to shift. What seemed safe from falling before your turn just might drop as you place your piece - and end up in your pile.
Challenging for people of all ages, it requires players to intuitively consider the laws of physics, which helps reinforce principles of gravity and balance to children while testing their fine motor skills.
The first to hang all their pieces wins. The spatially complex structures that result are fascinating to look at and can be left intact after playing to add interest to a room.
For 1 to 4 players.
Ages 5 to 12.
